HydraFacials vs JetPeel

Have you recently looked at your reflection and thought that your skin looked a little dull and lusterless? Perhaps it could use a bit more attention, because, you know, life? Instead of opting for your “standard” spa facial which barely touches the surface of your skin’s problems, here at The Sweet Spot, we offer two different treatments to help refresh your skin and get it glowing again - even in Seattle’s gloomiest and greyest months!

The first treatment we offer is the HydraFacial. The HydraFacial is commonly referred to as “the lunchtime facial” simply because you’ll need absolutely no downtime after receiving one, and they only take 40 minutes to an hour, dependent on your skincare needs.

What can you expect from a HydraFacial? Only four treatments in one appointment, that’s what! The HydraFacial has four steps to giving you fresh dewy skin:

Deep-cleaning and exfoliation: this is where dead skin cells, oil and dirt is vacuumed up out of your pores;
Peel: Glycolic and salicylic acids are used to draw out dirt from the deeper layers of the skin, leaving your skin feeling very clean;
Extraction: stepping up the suction, this step helps clear up any potentially remaining impurities in your skin - particularly after your skin’s pores have opened up after the peel:
Replenish: after being deep cleaned, this step provides your skin with essential moisturizing serums, giving your skin a refreshed, hydrated look and feeling!

Once your HydraFacial is complete, ask your esthetician to show you the collection chamber. Here you can see the proof in the pudding: dead skin, impurities and other nasties which have found their way out of various layers of your skin through suction!

The second service is the JetPeel Facial, which is our newest facial being offered at The Sweet Spot. In fact, we’re the only studio currently offering this service in Seattle!

Unlike the suctioning function used in the HydraFacial, the JetPeel uses more of a “pressure washer” function, which undoubtedly doesn’t sound as appealing as the aftereffects certainly look. Don’t be afraid to try this out, however; the JetPeel doesn’t actually make your skin peel, and it’s is far gentler than a chemical peel.  Additionally, like the HydraFacial, you’ll require no downtime after this treatment!

The JetPeel technology uses compressed air and 100% natural serums, to create “microdroplets” which then penetrate deep into your skin, to help reduce skin discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles and even improve skin texture.

Much like the HydraFacial, the JetPeel has several treatments in one:

Cleansing & Exfoliation: cleanses pores, removes natural and environmental debris through microdroplet Jetstream which dive deep into skin layers, bringing impurities to the skin surface;
Transdermal Infusion: This is where the skin’s hydration is restored.

In addition, the JetPeel gives you the option to add additional serums to the service, to help out your skin’s specific needs. Such serums include Vitamin C, ATX-Nat (a plant-derived Botox equivalent without needles!), etc.

After your JetPeel treatment, your skin will look hydrated, brighter, bouncier, and you may even notice your pores are smaller. What’s not to like?

Please call us at the studio for more specific information regarding both the HydraFacial and the JetPeel, or visit our “services” page on our website! We look forward to getting your skin happy and healthy again!
